Do we pay full attention to the colors used in the office that we have been using all day? Can colors affect the employee’s psychology? Which colors provide the concentration and creativity, which colors distract you? It is a fact that  the colors have the effects on us although we are not aware of it . Not only the colors, but the placement  and the tissues of the furniture can affect the employees as well.
The colors to be used in the companies should be decided according to the buisness done. When red appetites, it also evokes the anger.
Offices now being applied to use unusual colors and various decorations. All of is for ensuring  the employee is more productive firstly, and then appealing to the customers’ eyes, but the color selection has to be considered when all these are done. Incorrect colors used in the wrong environment can disturb the concentration of the worker and prevent it from doing business.

Another important aspect of using color is to give people an image, creating a style. Not only the colors within the company, but also the logo and exterior design are important.
Companies do not address employees only as decorations, walls and corporations. Another very important issue is the company’s logo. The logo, which seems to be trivial, actually gives an idea about the company.

Graphic designer Ali Tekin Cham conveys a statement from Paul Rand: “The person produces the log is a designer, but the creator is company itself.” During the logo design phase, it is important to know how the organization defines itself and what concepts it reflects. Cham often states that  managers usually look at the mood they want to create, not the different identity.

Bright colours are upsetting quickly
The customer category and age group are also very important in color selection. Perrier, who sells the same product in small green bottles for a group of 40 years old (mineral water brand), can succeed in the 18-25 age group with blue plastic bottles. A study in the US shows that the highest income group chooses black, gray and blue, while the lowest income group chooses vivid colors. Experts say that bright colors are exhausting and upsetting quickly; but it is suitable for frequently changed products. In this case, it is also clear why thw colour is given white goods.

If  We  go away from scientific definitions and take a look at the colors used in the logos, Cham says, ‘We can not easily give the answer to the reason why this color is used. There are many reasons for this. ’One day someone at the door of your office, might say that he wants to have a logo and that the logos of all the serious companies he has watched are dark blue, because of that the logo he wants to make should be a dark blue, Or a company that is dominant in the Islamic sense,  may say that his logo must  be green if it is convenient or not with the product. Another example is that a firm that produces pizza or pasta, which is an important part of Italian culinary culture, may want to use the logos of the Italian flag (red, white, green) in terms of its belonging.

Red: It is appetizing. So most fast food brands use red color. The physical effect of this color is to raise blood pressure and accelerate blood flow in people. Red can also cause aggression and anger at the same time.

Green: It gives a feeling of trust and inspiration. Provide peace, calm the person. This is why the color of the gowns of surgeons and caregivers is green. Banks also use this color frequently in logos for the same reason. Green also stimulates creativity. Today, green (except for special meaning in Islamic countries) represents freshness, healthy product, rebirth

Black: Represents strength, luxury and ambition. It also associates with mourning. It does not distribute the concentration. Coca Cola chose the black bottle to sell the “masculine and powerful” Zero. Of course, there are products that can not be matched with black. The black toilet paper that was on the market in France couldn’t sell.
Blue: It gives peace and calmness. Slows blood flow. So it loses the appetites. Eating on the Blue plate is recommended for those on the diet. If you want your office to be noticed from a distance, blue is ideal for that. It has a calming effect. If the screen is blue during installation, it is known that internet users are more patient. It should also be noted that this color gives the impression of  ” coolness intimacy ” … A study revealed that the same drink in the same heat served in blue, green, red and yellow cups was 48 percent of colder perception in the blue glass.

Gray: The colour of severity . Diplomatic color.

Yellow: The color of transition. This is why the yellow color is used in the traffic lights. And banks do not want to use yellow color for this reason; because it prefers that money be permanent rather than temporary. It is used where you want your employees pass without losing much time. It’s a remarkable color.

White: İt evokes cleanness, spaciousness, hygiene and purity. The most common color in underwear, refrigerator, washing machine and cleaning products. Provides stability in business environment. Makes the eye rests. Politicians use this color to give a clean, honest impression.

Brown: While people do not want to spend a lot of time in the shops and businesses that are designed in this color, this problem is getting out of the way in stores and business places that are exhibited with white tones. Brown is also a color that is not preferred when going to business negotiations at the same time.

Purple: Represents inner intelligence. The color of subconscious. So it is also used in therapy rooms. Physiologically, it is also good for insomnia.

Dark Blue: It is considered as a cosmic color. Symbolize the Infinity, authority, and efficiency. That is why the vast majority of companies use this color.
